Theater poster for the Polish version of Kafka's play "Proces (The Process)," originally titled "The Trial," features the angled profile view of a bald man with thick black eyebrows and cracks in his head from the base of his skill to his cheekbones. The man's eyes are closed and his mouth and nose covered by a red dog muzzle, perhaps to illustrate the character's unknowing of the crime he is accused of and his inability to defend himself. The head casts a dark shadow on the gray background.
