Abstract
"A laboratory technician making a blood count in the Physical Chemistry Laboratory. A blood count is made of each patient entering the Hospital." Caption from "Sounding an Alert!" Image used in the WWII era fundraising publication, "Sounding an Alert!" on page 14. This publication, motivated by the increased need for health care during wartime, was the vanguard of a $300,000 campaign with the goal of securing an "Emergency Fund" to cover improvements and equipment for the Hospital of the WMCP as well as funds for the building of the "Nurses' Home."
