Abstract
Professor Esther M. Greisheimer teaching small group of nursing students. "The laboratories of the Woman's Medical College are available to the student nurses for instruction in Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, and Bacteriology." Caption from "Sounding an Alert!" Image used in the WWII era fundraising publication, "Sounding an Alert!" on page 10. This publication, motivated by the increased need for health care during wartime, was the vanguard of a $300,000 campaign with the goal of securing an "Emergency Fund" to cover improvements and equipment for the Hospital of the WMCP as well as funds for the building of the "Nurses' Home."
